When you look at a listed professional on HSPNM, you may see two different scoring products. They are not duplicates, and they are not decorative.
One score is about how a company comes through in the real world of customer experience. The other is about how the business itself stands up when viewed through a broader credibility, visibility, transparency, and veracity lens.
Score One
The TRUSTED Home Pro Rating
The TRUSTED Home Pro Rating is HSPNM's consumer-centered rating product, designed to give homeowners a more meaningful view of real customer experience through proprietary analytics — not a simple raw average.
The question it answers: How strong does this company appear to be from the standpoint of real customer-rated experience overall?
In plain terms: The TRUSTED Home Pro Rating is about the company as experienced by customers.
Score Two
TrustMark Verified Pro Score
The TrustMark Verified Pro Score is HSPNM's business veracity score. It processes verified, available business-level facts through HSPNM's proprietary analytics to produce a credibility and veracity score at the company level.
The question it answers: How sound, credible, visible, and trustworthy does this company appear when looked at as a business?
In plain terms: The TrustMark Verified Pro Score is about the company as a business — and its position of visibility and transparency in the professional community.
Licensing
How Licensing Works in Florida
Florida licenses some trades and not others. Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and structural work require state licensure. House cleaning, handyman work, pressure washing, landscaping, moving, and appliance repair generally do not. A professional in an unlicensed trade is not less trustworthy — there is simply no license to verify, and our verification accounts for that.
Where a license is required, we confirm it against Florida state records rather than taking a company's word for it.
Some Florida businesses operate under a qualifier license. Florida allows a licensed contractor to serve as the qualifying agent for a company, and when they do, that individual takes on legal responsibility for the work the company performs. The license belongs to the person, not the business. A qualifier holding a general or building contractor license — the broadest credentials Florida issues — is accountable for the specialty work done under their name, including whether the crews performing it are competent to do it. Florida requires this relationship to be disclosed publicly, which is why we display the qualifier's name alongside the number. A license marked with an asterisk is a qualifier license rather than a specialty registration held by the business itself.
